Vanishing Bandana with CD PLUS

Hello friends,

There is some confusion with the origins of the Bandana Banana, so we'll set the record straight.

This was rumored to have been created by Tom Ogden and used on Television by David Copperfield without Mr. Ogden's permission.

While it is true that Copperfield did perform this on TV and it is also true that Ogden did come up with the first presentation of a pre-recorded audio track for the effect, Ogden did not create the effect.

Earlier accounts of a very similar banana effect can be found in Richard "Snowflake" Snowberg's Clown Skits booklet as well as Bonzo Presents: The World's Funniest Clown Skits by Barry Dechant.

The first commercially available version entitled The Vanishing Bandana was released by The FAB Magic Company about 10 years ago. It originally came with a cassette recording of a man's voice. This recoding was okay but the routine was pretty lame compared to the new recording. This version had an ACME sticker on the box.

A later variation was on CD with a woman's voice. The new recording had a better vibe. The ACME label was later changed to Atlas Magic, presumably due to legal reasons.

Today's version The Vanishing Bandana With CD Plus is the best yet. The CD is show ready and professionally recorded. The new Trick Of The Month Club label is in color. The new Neon Devil's Hank is spacious & soft and covered in glitter. And the best part yet, for the first time the box itself allows for the reappearance of the banana at the end. This reappearance is based on U.F. Grant's Rabbit Production from his book Victory Carton illusions.

This is a wonderful routine overflowing with comedy. It gets one of my highest recommendations. If you do any type of platform, stage or comedy work, this effect should be considered. It greats a great reaction and is fairly simple to operate.

Until tomorrow. Thanks for reading!

Pete
